Broken: two arms, one thumb, one wrist, one leg, one foot, and one ankle
NOT broken: one spirit and one e-string

Craig and his father survived a car crash caused by a drunk driver when he was 12 years old. Through his wheelchair, corrective shoes, and physical therapy, his little acoustic guitar and music helped him through a challenging and frightening time.
His doctor encouraged him to still play the guitar in the hospital and all through his recovery. Even though he could only reach one string with his little fingers sticking out of his casts, he wrote a song on that one string that was included on his Grammy Nominated, and #1 CD, Acoustic Planet.
The only string he could reach was the e-string and his doctor's name was Elizabeth. So... The song he wrote is called Center of Courage (E-Lizabeths Song) and is still played almost entirely on the one e-string.
This time spent in the hospital is why ever since his first solo CD was released, Craig visits hospitals in cities all around the country when he is on tour and plays for free to all the patients, family and hospital staff who cant make it to the regular show.
He has played now for geriatric patients, pediatric patients, Alzheimer's Patients, Trauma Patients, autistic children, psychiatric patients and always encourages them to play along with him on instruments he provides. Most of the time he donates a guitar to the hospital, too.
Sort of like the Lone Ranger, instead of hi ho Silver away, and a silver bullet left behind, its three chords and a cloud of dust with a guitar and some picks left behind instead.
